Introducing the Family Zone, a dedicated retreat from the main stage crowds.
This year, we give special thanks to the Whidbey Island Waldorf School teachers and staff for hosting the Family Zone space with dedicated volunteer time and love. Designed as a gentle, sensory-friendly haven, this is a place for children and their caregivers to pause, recharge, and connect. Whether you are looking for a moment of quiet or a burst of creativity, the Family Zone offers the perfect environment for you and your family to slow down and enjoy the festival together at your own pace.
A note: The Family Zone is designed to be explored together, so children stay with a parent or caregiver at all times. That is what keeps this space gentle and unhurried, and it means the making, the resting, and the running around are all things you get to do side by side. We look forward to creating, playing, and marching with you!
Family Zone Hours:

Sunday Midday Parade begins at the Family Zone at 1:45pm.

Cozy Corner: Need a gentle pause? Settle into our Cozy Corner, a peaceful nook featuring a rocking chair, rug, and a handful of books, perfect for quiet exploration or simply relaxing with your little ones.
Free Engagement Area: Courtesy of our friends at The Backyard LLC, this small, shaded outdoor space is designed specifically for child-friendly movement and open-ended play. It is the ideal spot for kids to stretch their legs and explore in a safe, interactive environment.
