Mysterium brings together two exceptional performers whose collective talents span classical, world, contemporary, and improvisational soundscapes. The set ranges across classical, flamenco, world music, blues, early music and contemporary jazz, in the form of instrumentals and vocals. You will hear stringed instruments and percussion instruments from around the world. Andre and Eric perform in an in-the-moment improvisational way, drawing from the magic of musical storytelling and creative, imaginative musical interactions. Coming from different musical camps, the two artists meet with a common thread of soulful and heartfelt playing.

With 4 decades of performing and recording, award-winning virtuoso guitarist Andre Feriante has left his musical mark on the classical, neo-flamenco, world music and fusion scenes. A cross-over artist in the vein of Yo Yo Ma or Sting, his performance program represents a bold but fluid musical fusion, featuring music from Bach to Leonard Cohen, flamenco improvisation to jazz standards, Americana to World Music, and even poetry by Federico Garcia Lorca, Rumi and Feriante himself. With training by guitar masters like Maestro Andres Segovia, Feriante is a world renowned virtuoso musician in his own right. His musical art sings from the Spanish guitar, harp guitar, ukulele, harp ukulele, nylon string banjo, charango, oud, saz, and most recently the shamisen, ruan, and sitar. That's just a sample of his 43 instrument collection.

From the train tunnels of Chicago to the orchestra hall of Seattle, Eric Fridrich has shared his music with audiences of all kinds. The music is a study in many world traditions subtlety woven into a singer songwriter sensibility that "defies classification" (Tom Barille, former editor, Chicago Arts and Entertainment magazine), with an instrumental mastery that has awarded performances with rock and roll hall of famers, grammy winners, and prominent African soukous, opera, flamenco and jazz artists. Eric is currently playing solo performances nationally, lead guitar for Lane James Band and Lady Grace, and releasing multiple recordings from the past few years.
